Biotherapeutic Drainage
Biotherapeutic Drainage is also known as “Drainage homeopathy” or just simply “drainage.” They are defined as “remedies which promote the excretory functions of a particular organ or organ system." It has been practiced in Europe for more than one hundred years, but was brought to the United States a little over twenty years ago.
Using drainage remedies can be thought of as taking out the kitchen garbage when the bin is full. If you were to just keep piling on the garbage to the overflowing bin, eventually it would be covered in bugs and would become a rotten mess. Spraying it with air freshener or buying more garbage bins is not going to fix the problem. You have to take out the garbage, keep the bin clean, and be able to do this on a regular basis so the bugs never even want to enter your house.
Most diseases stem from disrupted function of an organ or organ system. When the normal function is disrupted long enough, the “garbage” builds up and it can lead to cellular destruction or tumor growth. Toxins are a general term for cellular garbage. They come from the junk food we eat, our environment, and our body’s metabolic waste. Many common symptoms and chronic illnesses are a result of toxin buildup.
Drainage remedies work to open our body’s routes of elimination. They help our bodies to “take out the garbage.” The primary routes of elimination are: liver, kidneys, intestines, stomach, pancreas, and lungs. Drainage is a gentle way of helping these organs work more efficiently at the cellular level to get rid of toxins and return to balanced physiology. If an organ or body has balanced physiology, there can be no disease.
More than just detoxification, drainage actually helps the organs work better in every function they do. The remedies are organ-specific so they can be customized to help patients with any variety of complaints or conditions. Drainage remedies are an integral part of a plan for optimal health.
